The Danish top team Spirit of Amiga has decided to quit DEL's Elite Division. All the players have agreed with this decision that comes due to lack of motivation.
Even though SoA continues to impress in Extreme Masters, having recently won their group in front of fnatic, they've been off to a bad start at DEL's Elite Division. Now, the team has decided to quit the Danish national league. According to their statement, the players haven't been able to find time to practice due to their tight schedule and, therefore, the motivation has lacked.
Quitting DEL, SoA will continue to play in Extreme Masters and EPS Denmark. TwAizZ - manager of SoA - tells that they've picked EPS Denmark instead of DEL due to higher prizes and LAN finals being held. Furthermore, he points out that there is no political motive in the decision.
With SoA's exit from the Elite Division, the field has been cutted down to five teams. The participating teams are (listed by the current standings):
